How to: Dynamically sort a report.
Solution:
In the Report Design view, select the 'View' menu and select 'Sorting and Grouping'. Select 'Ascending' or 'Descending' from the 'Sort Order' drop-down list of the desired field to dynamically sort a report.
1) If the Database window is not active, activate the Database window.
2) Click the 'Reports' tab in the Database window.

3) Select the desired report from the list box. (The selected report is highlighted.)
4) Click 'Design'. (The selected report appears in the Design view, and the floating Toolbox appears.)
5) Select the 'View' menu and select 'Sorting and Grouping'. (The Sorting and Grouping dialog box appears.)

6) Click in the first available blank cell in the 'Fields/Expression' box. (A down arrow appears.)
7) Click down arrow. (A drop-down list appears.)
8) Select the desired field name for sorting from the 'Fields/Expressions' list.
9) Click in the corresponding blank cell to the right of the field name in the 'Sort' field. (A down arrow appears.)
10) Click down arrow.
11) Do one of the following to sort:
a) Select 'Ascending' to sort in ascending order.
b) Select 'Descending' to sort in descending order.
12) Repeat steps 6) through 11) for each additional field to sort by.
13) Click on the 'X' in the upper right corner of the 'Sorting and Grouping' window to close.
14) Select the 'File' menu and select 'Save' to save the report.
